Start the meal off right - with the delicious and healthy taste of Creta Farms EVOO Deli Meats.
Baked Pear, Turkey and Smoked Fontina Skewers on Rosemary Sprigs
Ingredients (Yields 6 skewers):
- 2 Pears
- 8 oz smoked fontina cheese
- 1 8 oz slice of Creta Farms Gourmet Turkey (ask deli counterperson to slice in one slab)
- Creta Farms Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 6 large rosemary sprigs
Preparation
- Cut, seed and quarter the pears, cut into 1” pieces.
- Cut Fontina cheese into 8 1 oz cubes.
- Cut turkey slab into 8 1 oz cubes.
Assembly
- Arrange, by alternating, pear, cheese, and Creta Farms turkey cubes.
- Slide cubes onto rosemary sprigs from the bottom of the sprig up.
- Place on baking sheet that has been sprayed with non-stick spray.
- Drizzle with Creta Farms Olive oil. Top with freshly ground pepper to taste.
- Bake in a 350 degree oven until cheese begins to melt, 3-5 minutes.
- Serve warm.
