Start the meal off right - with the delicious and healthy taste of Creta Farms EVOO Deli Meats.

Baked Pear, Turkey and Smoked Fontina Skewers on Rosemary Sprigs

Ingredients (Yields 6 skewers):

  • 2 Pears
  • 8 oz smoked fontina cheese
  • 1 8 oz slice of Creta Farms Gourmet Turkey (ask deli counterperson to slice in one slab)
  • Creta Farms Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 6 large rosemary sprigs

Preparation

  1. Cut, seed and quarter the pears, cut into 1” pieces.
  2. Cut Fontina cheese into 8 1 oz cubes.
  3. Cut turkey slab into 8 1 oz cubes.

Assembly

  1. Arrange, by alternating, pear, cheese, and Creta Farms turkey cubes.
  2. Slide cubes onto rosemary sprigs from the bottom of the sprig up.
  3. Place on baking sheet that has been sprayed with non-stick spray.
  4. Drizzle with Creta Farms Olive oil. Top with freshly ground pepper to taste.
  5. Bake in a 350 degree oven until cheese begins to melt, 3-5 minutes.
  6. Serve warm.
