Start the meal off right - with the delicious and healthy taste of Creta Farms EVOO Deli Meats.

Puff Pastry Ham and Cheese “Napoleons”

Ingredients (Yields 12 Napoleons):

  • 1 3-4 oz sheet of frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 16 oz Creta Farms Extra Lean Cooked Ham, sliced
  • 12 slices american cheese
  • ½ C parmesan cheese

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Thaw pastry and unfold onto flat work surface.
  2. Cut each sheet into 3 strips, following the fold lines. Cut each strip into 2 equal halves. Place 6 pieces onto parchment lined baking sheet.
  3. Brush top of each piece with whisked egg and sprinkle with a pinch of Parmesan cheese.
  4. Bake at 400 degrees for appox. 15 minutes, (per package instructions), until puffed and golden brown. Cool on wire cooling rack, and split in half, to make 12 slices.

Assembly

  1. While pastry is cooling, slice ham into thin “ribbons”.
  2. Layer one slice of puff pastry, one slice of cheese, a small pile of ham ribbons, another slice of cheese, and place parmesan crusted slice of puff pastry on top.
  3. Enjoy!
