Stay Tuned As More People Join the Creta Farms Revoolution
Wednesday, July 30, 2008 – Philadelphia, PA – Creta Farms Gourmet EVOO Deli Meats were featured on a segment of the Philadelphia region’s NBC “10!” show. In the segment, celebrity chef, Hope Cohen, spoke with show hosts Bill Henley and Lynn Berry about how consumers can eat healthier and save money by packing their lunch with Creta Farms deli meats.
Chef Cohen prepared a mouth-watering Oven Roasted Turkey Breast with Roasted Red Pepper, Goat Cheese, and Arugula sandwich. While preparing the sandwich, she discussed the health benefits of Creta Farms Gourmet deli meats and the savings of packing a lunch – you could save up to $2,000 yearly. “Creta Farms deli meats are terrific because they’re made with EVOO, replacing some of the saturated animal fat. So you’re not only getting great tasting meats, you’re also eating healthy. Plus, Creta Farms’ meats are up to 98% fat free and available in many delicious flavors.
After the segment, the “10!” audience had a chance to sample the sandwiches Chef Cohen prepared. Said one woman, “This is the best tasting deli meat. It’s so fresh. And, it’s good for you. You can’t beat that.” Another audience participant said, “I’m going out to buy some [Creta Farms] today, so I can pack my husband’s lunch for tomorrow. He’ll love the taste.”
Creta Farms was founded 30 years ago by a small group of people from the island of Crete. The new products, which are being introduced primarily in Philadelphia-area Acme Markets, along with smaller chains and independent retailers, are expected to appeal to nutrition-conscious consumers interested in premium foods and the benefits of the Mediterranean lifestyle.
